Donor Recognition

Each fall, at its Annual Denali Society Dinner, Alaska Pacific University honors individuals, corporations, and foundations that support the university with an annual gift of $1,000 or greater. Those donors who give at this level are members of APU’s Denali Society. In addition to Annual Denali Society donors we also recognize those who consistently support the university and whose cumulative giving totals have reached Laureate level (1 million and above), Summa Cum Laude level ($500,000-999,000) or Magna Cum Laude level ($100,000-499,000).

The Laurence J. Carr
Distinguished Volunteer Award

The 2003 Laurence J. Carr Distinguished Volunteer Award has been given to Margaret (Meg) A. Yaege. Ms. Yaege has served as an Alaska Pacific University Trustee since 2000. She is a member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Student Affairs Committee and is Co-Chair of the Grant Hall Capital Campaign.

Ms. Yaege is vice president, Greater Prudhoe Area, for ConocoPhillips and is president of ConocoPhillips Alaska Pipelines, located in Anchorage. She represents ConocoPhillips Alaska Pipelines on the TAPS owners committee and ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc., on the Prudhoe Bay working interest owners committee.

She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Tulsa University. In addition to serving as an APU Trustee she also serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Alaska.
