Vietnam: History & Culture Trip

Alumni, students and interested travelers are welcome

Alaska Pacific University Professors Tim Rawson and Lynn Paulson will be leading a January block educational trip to Vietnam. Helping to organize the trip is APU Master of Arts student Michael Cull.

A highlight of the itinerary includes a visit to Friendship Village where Michael serves as a board member. Vietnam Friendship Village Project provides medical care to children with birth defects. In addition, the Alaska Pacific group will visit non-governmental organizations (NGO's) to learn about other humanitarian projects, Hanoi University, UNESCO World Heritage sites, museums, temples and shrines. The trip will take you from Hanoi, to a boat excursion in Halong Bay with an overnight on beautiful Cat Ba Island, to the mountains near China and then south to Danang and Hue.

There is limited availability; if you are interested in visiting this beautiful and culturally rich country, or if you are interested in participating in other trips please contact Dr. Rawson at 564-8301 or tmrson@alaskapacific.edu.
